This video is Day 11 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.
Day 11 of our hike began at Blue Lake Road NE where we left off on Day 10. This start location was just south of County Road 612 NE. We started walking at 8:30am and finished for the day at around 2:30pm. It was a mixture of roads and trails with some of the roads having loose sand. The weather was glorious. Some of the roads were ATV routes.
Pixie, my Golden Retriever was not with us due to the potential ticks. After Day 13, she will be back! After retrieving our vehicles, we departed for home. With this portion of the walk completed, we are 135 miles on the trail! Hurray!
Trip Summary: Total Time = 6 hours 1 minute. Moving Time = 4 hours 1 minute. Distance = 9.7 miles.
