This video is Day 17 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.
Day 17 of our hike began on Fisher Road where we left off the day before. We walked the STS trail northwest and then mostly west. It was a nice day and it was dry. We started walking at 10:30am and finished for the day shortly before 5pm. This day of walking was about 50% trail and 50% unimproved roads. Pixie, went for a swim and had a great day walking with us!
Upon completing this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and made the trip back home. After this walk, we are 195 miles on the trail! Hurray!
Trip Summary: Total Time = 6 hours 11 minutes. Moving Time = 4 hours 41 minute. Distance = 10.9 miles.
