This video is Day 19 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.
Day 19 of our hike began on Oviatt Road at Garey Lake State Forest Campground. We walked the STS trail west and then north. It was a nice day and it was dry. We started walking at 11:00am and finished at 4pm. This day of walking was all roads. Pixie had a great day walking with us!
This finishes the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. The total walk was about 213 miles.
Fred and I met my family at the end of the walk, my wife Jennifer, her mother Barbara, my daughter Heather, my granddaughter Emma, and my Irish Setter Brynleigh.
Trip Summary: Total Time = 4 hours 55 minutes. Moving Time = 3 hours 14 minute. Distance = 8.5 miles.
