Paddling the Little Muskegon River – Dagget Road Bridge to Croton Dam Boat Launch

Information on this section of the river was not able to be located in Google searches or in YouTube. I believe it makes this video very useful to those that may be interested in this section of the river.

For this video, this part of the river was a great paddle. It was 13.7 miles of clear water that was flowing at about 3 mph with many rapids. However, only two locations required wading and those could have been avoided had the paddle of that portion taken a different line.

Using my We-No-Nah Saranac 15′ tandem canoe, sitting in the bow seat and reversing the bow and stern so I was more centered, it did a great job. My granddaughter was in the bow seat. I saw only a few fish in this section though I expected to see many more. Bugs were not a problem at all.

Trip Summary: Total Time = 5 hours 34 minutes.  Moving Time = 4 hours 28 minutes. Distance = 13.7 miles.
