This late afternoon & evening ride is on the Tin Cup Springs Trail near Luther, MI. I finally added the dog carrier to the back of my quad so Pixie, my Golden Retriever could join us. We rode the short part of the loop of 16 miles.
Earlier in the evening when it was light, there was lots of great scenery. After dark, it was hard to see anything but the trail ahead of us and the temperature plummeted. It was difficult to keep the fingers warm as the wind rushed over my gloves. Plus, back in my early teens, I had frostbite on my two middle fingers on my right hand and they always get cold first. This was our first winter day/evening ride for 2021. Despite the cold, it was a great time on the trail and it was good to get back on the quad.
Tin Cup is a great trail system. Plenty wide for quads, side-by-sides, and even full size vehicles. It is a great location for beginner riders and keeps interest for advanced riders. Highly recommended to anyone that is looking for a a few hours of riding.
Trip Summary: Total Time = 1 hour 37 minutes. Moving Time = 1 hour 28 minutes. Distance = 16.1 miles.
