Paddling the Little Muskegon River – Morley to Dagget Road Bridge

Information on this section of the river was not able to be located in Google searches or in YouTube. I believe it makes this video very useful to those that may be interested in this section of the river.

For this video, the Little Muskegon was a tougher paddle. It was just under 15 miles of clear water that was slow moving and shallow in many places. Using my We-No-Nah Saranac 15′ tandem canoe, sitting in the bow seat and reversing the bow and stern so I was more centered, it did ok in the shallow waters. Perhaps the Mad River 17′ might have been a better choice due to its larger size and displacement? I saw a few Trout, Smallmouth Bass, and Suckers. Also, a handful of Whitetail Deer, Ducks, and Cranes were spotted. Bugs were not a problem at all.

Trip Summary: Total Time = 6 hours 18 minutes.  Moving Time = 5 hours 17 minutes. Distance = 13.2 miles.
