Michigan Shore to Shore Trail Day 10

This video is Day 10 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.

Day 10 of our hike began at West Batterson Road Bridge where we left off on Day 9. This start location was just south of Frederic and west of Old 27. We started walking at about 8:30am and finished for the day at around 4:00pm. It was a mixture of roads and trails with some of the roads having loose sand. The weather was glorious. We had the experience of wading across the Manistee River.

Pixie, my Golden Retriever was not with us due to the potential ticks. After Day 13, she will be back! Upon the completion of this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and had a nice dinner. After this walk, we are 125 miles on the trail! Hurray!

Trip Summary: Total Time = 7 hours 30 minutes. Moving Time = 4 hours 48 minutes. Distance = 9.8 miles.
