This video is Day 13 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.
Day 13 of our hike began at the intersection of Island Lake Road & West Airport Road. We walked west on Island Lake Road to reconnect with the Shore-to-Shore Trail as a result of the trail flooding on the previous section. We started walking at 8:00am and finished for the day just before noon. It was a mixture of some paved and dirt roads and trails. The weather was glorious.
Pixie, my Golden Retriever was not with us due to the potential ticks. After Day 13, she will be back! Upon completing this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and had a great dinner!
After this walk, we are 155 miles on the trail! Hurray!
Trip Summary: Total Time = 3 hours 50 minutes. Moving Time = 3 hours 1 minute. Distance = 7.4 miles.
