Michigan Shore to Shore Trail Day 14

This video is Day 14 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.

Day 14 of our hike began at North River Road just south of Guernsey Lake. We walked the STS trail southwest. We started walking at 9:30am and finished for the day just before 5:00pm. This day of walking was about 10% dirt type roads and 90% trail. The weather was glorious.

Pixie rejoined us on this day and it was good to have her back. She was able to swim in the Boardman River and even found a snake friend!

Upon completing this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and had a great dinner! We slept in our vehicles near the endpoint of the next 10 miles of our walk.

After this walk, we are 165 miles on the trail! Hurray!
