This video is Day 15 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.
Day 15 of our hike began on Brown Bridge Road near Scheck’s Place Campgrounds. We walked the STS trail southwest with lots of precipitation. We started walking at about 9:30am and finished for the day at 2:30pm. We were highly motivated to walk faster to get out of the rain! This day of walking was about 50% road and 50% trail. Pixie, my Golden Retriever, seemed to enjoy the rain and made the best of it.
Upon completing this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and made the trip back home.
After this walk, we are 175 miles on the trail! Hurray!
Trip Summary: Total Time = 5 hours 11 minutes. Moving Time = 4 hours 13 minutes. Distance = 10.2 miles.
