This video is Day 16 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.
Day 16 of our hike began on Megan Lane off of Blair Townhall Road. We walked the STS trail north and then west. It was cold and there was minor precipitation. We started walking at 11:00am and finished for the day shortly before 4pm. This day of walking was about 75% road and 25% trail. Pixie, my Golden Retriever, as always, enjoyed being outdoors and relished in the cold and rain!
Upon completing this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and made the trip back home. After this walk, we are 185 miles on the trail! Hurray!
Trip Summary: Total Time = 4 hours 48 minutes. Moving Time = 4 hours 8 minute. Distance = 10.3 miles.
