Michigan Shore to Shore Trail Day 18

This video is Day 18 of a hike across Michigan from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The trail is called the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail. It begins in Oscoda, MI and ends in Empire, MI. It is somewhere between 215 and 235 miles depending on what trails are followed.

Day 18 of our hike began on Burnt Mill Road at the parking area for the Woodcock Lake Preserve where we left off the day before. We walked the STS trail west and then north. It was a nice day and it was dry. We started walking at 11:00am and finished for the day shortly before 5pm. This day of walking was about 50% trail and 50% unimproved roads. Pixie had a great day walking with us!

Upon completing this portion of the trail, we retrieved our vehicles and stayed overnight at the Garey Lake Forest Campground. After this walk, we are 205 miles on the trail! Hurray!

Trip Summary: Total Time = 5 hours 48 minutes. Moving Time = 4 hours 12 minute. Distance = 10.1 miles.
