ATV Riding the Big Bear Trail

This video is ATV riding the Big Bear Trail about halfway between Kalkaska, MI and Grayling, MI that is north of M-72. On this beautiful day, Jim with is Honda Pioneer SxS and I with my 2018 Polaris Sportsman 570 EPS drove 14 miles overall on the trail.

At 11 miles on the loop, I had problems with my ATV. IT was starved for fuel or air. A few times before, it either would not start right away or the engine stopped and it had to be restarted. Finally, at the 11 mile mark, it stopped with a few backfires and would either not run correctly or start at all afterwards. Jim towed me out and back tot he trailer.

This trail is mostly sand and dirt and does have a few close quarter trails. Occasional branches and foliage sometimes impede into the trail. Several stumps on the sides of the trail need to be navigated carefully.

NOTE: About midway into the video, the audio is out of sync with the video. I believe this happened during the telemetry rendering. The video is still watchable and impacts it overall very little. Since it is so close to my Friday post, it would take about another day for YouTube to upload and process the video. This would not make the 5pm posting time I target.

Trip Summary: Total Time = 2 hours 32 minutes.  Moving Time = 1 hours 41 minutes. Distance = 14.2 miles.
