This video is paddling the Sturgeon River from Wolverine, MI to the Burt Lake State Park Boat Launch. This is one of two Sturgeon Rivers in Michigan. This paddle is in the lower peninsula while the other Sturgeon River is in the upper peninsula of Michigan. This river is the fastest in the lower peninsula. The weather on this day was beautiful with plenty of sunshine.
During this paddle, we pass under a number of bridges, launch areas, many homes, and even a restaurant! Day #2’s paddle was just under 16 miles.
The paddlers in this video are Jim in the front of the Mad River Revelation canoe with me and his son Riley paddling the Kayak.
